Manchester City coach, Roberto Mancini, said gave him a new contract for one of its flagship midfielder, Gareth Barry. Together with Joleon Lescott, Barry rumored to be sold City in the summer. However, 32-year-old midfielder was denied and said to do with the management of the Citizens in good condition.
To deny these rumors, management City prepare new business deals for Barry. Contract former Aston Villa player was indeed going to run out in 2014.
"I think we have three or four players in this situation. We will decide next month, but a very important player for us," said manager Roberto Mancini.
"I am very happy because Gareth is a good man and a professional player. As a person, he's very serious," he added.
Barry anchored to Stamford Bridge from the Villans in 2009. Four seasons with Manchester Blue, Barry has scored six goals in a total of 122 matches.
